This internship will include

This internship offers an exciting opportunity to work with an innovative team at a fast-paced startup. You will gain hands-on experience in the design and engineering of next-generation systems. Collaborate directly with senior company leaders and engage in interdisciplinary research as we prototype and develop an advanced ammonia storage and transportation system.

Tasks you will support

  • Design and Analyze: Assist in designing and optimizing components and systems for ammonia storage (e.g., solid-gas interaction, liquid-gas phase) to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
  • Engineering Support: Conduct mechanical, thermal, and chemical analyses to evaluate performance under various conditions.
  • Prototyping: Collaborate on prototype development and help refine engineering designs through testing and iteration.
  • Research: Explore innovative solutions for ammonia storage at ambient conditions, leveraging advancements in chemical and mechanical engineering.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with engineering and R&D teams to align designs with overall system objectives.
  • Documentation: Prepare technical reports and presentations to document findings and propose improvements.

Your Qualifications/Skills

  • Currently enrolled as a graduate student in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong academic record with a passion for clean energy technologies and sustainable engineering solutions.
  • Organized self-starter with excellent time management skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Effective communicator with strong technical writing skills, capable of preparing reports and presentations.
  • Tech-savvy with proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and simulation tools.
  • Familiarity with thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and material science.
  • Experience with data analysis, prototyping, or system optimization is a plus.
